The dirty truths of my Mounjaro journey (Q&A)

“Needing a tool isn’t a character score.”

Aimee’s Q&A digs into what highlight reels often skip: thin privilege, loose skin, hair changes, regain risk, and “will I stay on forever?” — plus how she answers willpower-shaming. If you’re carrying those questions, her honesty may help you name your own.

Not medical advice. Lived experience for learning and encouragement. Decisions about medication belong with a licensed clinician. Creator paths are not protocols or endorsements.

Phase

What diet?

She never followed a branded diet — early protein targets and a loose deficit, then less tracking in maintenance. She documented from day one and spent a long stretch in maintenance after most of the loss.

Phase

Identity & privilege

Growing up in a larger body, lifelong dieting cycles, then noticing how people treat her now — including colleagues who never knew her at a higher BMI. She holds both: treatment changed, and the earlier life isn’t erased.

Phase

Body tradeoffs

Loose skin, hair thinning, height-specific healthy ranges — she talks about gym, protein, and skepticism of “prevent it with this supplement” pitches. She still prefers her current chapter of life.

Phase

Stigma & forever?

She answers the willpower comment with a lifetime of trying — and leaves open whether she’ll stay on forever. Regain is possible after any method; it isn’t a reason she regrets starting.
